August 10 Farmers & Merchants Picnic packs the park with fun
The 2024 Ada Farmers & Merchants Picnic is Saturday, August 10 at War Memorial Park. Started in 1913, this Ada tradition is sustained by volunteers and a non-profit organization. Funds raised in 2023 were used to improve the park by upgrading the three back ball diamonds with brick dust and sponsor the Pride of Ada Fireworks.
The following activities are highlighted on the Farmers & Merchants Picnic Facebook page, which also lists hourly and end of day prize drawings and vendors.

- Greased Pigs - Register from 11:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Starts at 4:00 p.m. $5 Entry fee. At ball diamond #2
- Basketball Tournament: Register from 11:00 a.m.-11:45 a.m. Starts at 12:00 $30 per team. At basketball courts
- Wack a Wreck: Get the chance to have some fun and wack-smash-wrech a beat up car. Admission is $5 for 2 minutes of smashing.
- Pony Rides - 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. $5 per ride at Ball Diamond #1.
- Truck & Tractor Pulls - 6:30 p.m. $10 entry fee. Seniors/Vets/Kids under 12 are free.
- Main Prizes announced at 6:00 p.m.

SCAVENGER HUNT FOR 21 AND OVER
That's right, something just for the ADULTS!!! The day of the picnic, August 10, come out and try to find one of the hidden ping pong balls located throughout the entire park. This event is absolutely free, If you find a ping pong ball, take it to the main prize tent and claim your prize! One ball only per household/family, Make sure to visit all areas of the picnic and all of the vendors, because you never know where you may find one. Make sure to bring your ID with you to claim your prize.
WITH WRISTBAND PURCHASE:
Toddler Town - 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
This awesome inflatable is sure to keep your youngsters bouncing and having fun all day long. Toddler Town features a big bouncing area, along with playful popup traffic lights, cars and street road images to boast the town theme, and a climb on slide on the side. This 30' long by 13' wide by 12' high toddler combo can accommodate up to 7 kids at a time Designed for children ages 2 to 7.
Inflatables
Slide: Designed to provide an exhilarating experience for all ages. With two lanes, participants can race against each other to see who can reach the bottom first. The slide is 20 feet tall, providing a thrilling drop that will leave riders wanting more.
Inflatable axe throwing is an interactive game where players take turns throwing foam axes at a target to score points. The game is similar to darts and can be suitable for children.
Hippo Chow Down: Four players start from their back wall and race to the pond of balls in the center to retrieve as many balls as possible and return them to the mesh bag at their starting wall.
Basketball Hoop Shoot: This fast-paced competitive basketball shoot out game will have participants offering up their best shots. Each player can engage in a crossover shooting action as they try to make baskets, and as the ball return from each shot makes it to the opponent's lane, the first player to get rid of all their basketballs rules this inflatable court.
Mobile Arcade
Enjoy a climate controlled mobile arcade trailer with 15+ machines with thousands of games to choose from. Included with your wristband ticket.
