Icon photographers have captured scenes of Ada bustling during the day with holiday preparations and activities, and after dark when the festive decorations glow in a rainbow of colors,
On December 14 Merry on Main celebrations brought a steady flow of families and friends to explore shopping and activities. The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce coordinated and promoted the annual program with assistance of local businesses and volunteers.
Chamber director Lindsay Hollar commented, "This year, I have just loved all of the collaboration and participation of all our businesses. I feel a renewed sense of the holiday and the excitement from all of our businesses.... It just makes it an overall really enjoyable day for the community.
“And the decorations just seem to be extra spectacular. That is a big shout out to the Village of Ada and downtown beautification committee. Our village workers work so hard to put up the light pole decorations and to maintain Depot Park. Our downtown would not look as beautiful as it does, so that’s all thanks to them.
Hollar also had “a huge thank you to students from Ohio Northern who volunteered this year.” This included volunteers from the Deans’ Advisor Council, from Dickie College and Circle K International.”
