Musical The Mad Ones opens Freed Center season, October 1-5

AUG 16 MEDIA RELEASE__The Freed Center for the Performing Arts 2025-2026 season opens during ONU’s homecoming weekend with the small, intimate, contemporary musical The Mad Ones by Kait Kerrigan and Bree Lowdermilk.
The four-person cast tells the story of 18-year-old Sam who isn’t sure that Ivy League school is the right choice anyone when her path takes a sharp and painful turn. The show follows Sam’s journey through grief and her decision to pursue her own future.
Performances will be held in the Stambaugh Studio Theatre stage slated for October 1, 2 and 4 at 7:30 p.m., and October 5 at 2 p.m.

Feb. 26-March 1: The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams
March 22: ONU Symphonic Band Spring Concert
April 16-19: Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 by Dave Malloy
April 24: ONU Orchestra Overtures & Arias Concert
May 3: ONU Spring Band Festival XLIX welcoming legendary composer, Michael Sweeney
