ADA__The Ada High School girls basketball team lost a 53-52 nailbiter to visiting non-conference foe Marion Elgin on Saturday afternoon, December 27.
Comet Madison Hill sank the tie-breaking free throw with 20 seconds remaining to put the visitors on top, 53-52. The second foul shot was waved off due to a lane violation.
Ada then got off a late jump shot to win it, yet missed. The Bulldogs dropped to 6-5 overall with the close home loss. Elgin improved to 6-3 with the one-point road victory.
“I was happy with how hard we played and competed,” said Ada head coach Zach Ricker.
