The Ada FFA chapter traveled to Columbus, Ohio on April 31st and May 1st to celebrate the 98th annual Ohio FFA State Convention. Throughout the two days, students went on a few tours, one being The Ohio State Veterinary Building, where they saw different labs, animal hospitals, and lecture rooms.
Students also had the opportunity to visit Anothony Thomas Chocolate Factory where they got an inside look at where chocolate was made and even tasted one of the factory's buckeyes.
Two of Ada’s FFA members Layla Fisher and Gavin Guyton were rated gold secretary and treasurer and were able to walk across the stage and receive their pin. Another big accomplishment was that five of our members earned their state degree. Anna Conley, Kenley Poling, Taylor Price, Dailah Preston, and Gavin Guyton all worked hard over the last couple of years to earn this degree and devoted their time to agriculture. The last award the Ada FFA chapter received was for charitable giving, in which we donated over $500 to a non-profit organization of our choice.
