Allen scores 4 of 6 goals

ADA__The talented Ada High School boys soccer team kicked off its promising fall 2026 season with a 6-0 shutout win over visiting Tiffin Columbian on Saturday night, August 15 at War Memorial Stadium.

Senior scoring ace Andrew Allen pumped in four goals and dished out one assist to pace the Bulldog offense.

Senior Carson Conley contributed a goal and one assist to aid Allen.

“It was a great team win to start the season,” said third-year Ada head coach Aaron Acheson. “I am really happy with how our guys played. They worked hard throughout the game, and I was especially proud of them for keeping their composure when they needed to.

“We had strong performances in the final third from Andrew Allen, Carson Conley and Tim Chrissobolis,” he continued. “Andrew scored multiple goals and assisted on the first goal, which was scored by Tim.

“Rhett Ulrey had two assists to Andrew, and Wyatt Fisher had the other two assists,” Acheson noted. “Carson also assisted on one of Andrew’s goals. Chase Jarrett and Camden McKean also showed some great ability on the outside.”

Senior Tim Chrissobolis tallied the initial Ada goal. Wyatt Fisher and Rhett Ulrey passed out two assists apiece. 

TC mustered just one shot on goal against the stingy Ada defense. The Tornado goalkeeper made 11 saves, while the Bulldog keeper only had to make one stop.

“I was really pleased with how our backline worked together, both defensively and in building out of the back,” Acheson observed. “Wyatt Fisher is the only returning starter in the backline from last season.

“Lucas Henson, Connor McKean and Daniel Klear made their first starts and played very well,” he added. “Wyatt Shaw is also coming along nicely. I really liked seeing us circulate the ball and continue to build our attack. We had several nice passing sequences and did a good job of keeping possession and finding opportunities to move the ball forward.

“Overall, it was a great way to start the season,” he summed up. “I am looking forward to seeing what this group can accomplish.”

Ada hosts Bath (0-0) on Wednesday, August 19 at 7 p.m. They then entertain New Knoxville (0-0) on Aug. 24.
