Michael E. Bailey, age 73, of Lima, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.

He was born on October 21, 1952, in Lima, Ohio, to Mitchell and Omalee (Patton) Bailey.

On December 4, 1982, Michael married Patti J. (Perrine) Bailey, and she survives in Lima. Also surviving are his two daughters: Angela (Jeff) Newland and Amy Bailey, all of Lima; eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; brother Dwayne (Liz) Bailey of Cairo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Michael in death are his parents; brother, Ronald Bailey; and two sisters, Debra Shepherd and Darlene Carter.

Michael retired from Bartlett Roofing, where he worked as a roofer and previously worked in maintenance. Michael was an avid fisherman and loved to watch TV, especially Sci-Fi, Horror and Westerns.

Funeral Services will begin at 12:00  p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Friday, August 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00  p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger.
