Bulldog volleyball falls in four to Hardin Northern

ADA__The Ada High School volleyball team was upset in four sets by visiting county rival Hardin Northern in a non-league match on Saturday, September 5.
Northern knocked off the previously unbeaten Bulldogs 25-12, 25-21, 23-25, 25-16. The Bulldogs fell to 6-1 after suffering their first loss of the season.
HN improved to 4-3 with the road victory.
Ada senior Jaylin St. Laurent dished out a dozen assists and made four digs. Sophomore Tea Griffith doled out 17 assists, hit two kills, made two solo blocks and came up with 15 digs.
Senior Brooklyn Andreasen smacked 10 kills, made four digs and two solo blocks. Senior Dailah Preston also knocked down 10 kills. She added one solo block and one block assist.
Senior Alivia Gibson drilled four kills and hustled up six digs. Jaycee Allen hammered six kills and made six digs.
Sophomore Lucy Carter mustered a team-high 26 digs. Harlyn Lowry came up with six digs, and Taylor Price made four digs. Haylyn Geiger made four digs, had one solo block and one assisted block. Ambriel Hollon added one dig.
Polar Bear freshman Hope Ribley knocked down a match-high 13 kills.
HN’s Addy Bacon contributed 11 kills, 22 digs and three aces. Baylie Bacon smacked nine kills. Kendall Frank passed out 22 assists and hustled up 15 digs.
Bear Lexi Oakley came up with 10 digs. Vivian Overs added seven digs and served three aces.
Ada plays at local rival Allen East (1-1) on Thursday, Sept. 10. Due in large part to the county fair, HN is off until Sept. 15, when they visit Cory-Rawson (0-4) in their NWCC opener.
