The Ada Bulldogs raised $ 2,590.00 at the September 23 Volley for a Cure Pink Out through a 50/50, bake sale, baskets and donations. The event motto is One Team - One Fight - A Cure.

ADA__The Ada High School volleyball team lost in straight sets to visiting Van Buren in a Blanchard Valley Conference match on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

The Bulldog girls dropped to 12-2 overall and 3-1 in the BVC after the 25-15, 25-22, 26-24 defeat. The defeat snapped the Ada six-match win streak.

VB improved to 10-2 overall and 3-1 in BVC play with the road sweep.

Tea Griffith passed out 14 assists, hammered eight kills and came up with one assisted block. She also dealt a pair of aces and hustled up five digs. 

Bulldog Jaylin St. Laurent dished out 12 assists, served two aces and came up with two digs.

Lucy Carter mustered up 16 digs, passed out two assists and served one ace. 

Brooklyn Andreasen smacked nine kills, made one solo block and one assisted block, served two aces and made six digs. 

Dailah Preston also knocked down nine kills.

Haylyn Geiger hit kills and made a pair of digs. Jaycee Allen smacked one kill and made two digs. 

Alivia Gibson served one ace and hustled her way to nine digs. Harlyn Lowry contributed five digs.

Brooklyn Wilkin led VB with 21 kills, six aces and 16 digs. Brittyn Wilkin knocked down 15 kills and made eight digs. Lydia Ponn doled out 34 assists. 

Leipsic and Arlington are tied atop the BVC with identical 4-0 records. Ada dropped into a third-place tie with Van Buren and McComb after the loss. 

The Bulldog girls compete in the Cory-Rawson Invitational Saturday.

Ada hosts league co-leader Arlington (13-2) Monday, Sept. 28 in a key BVC battle.
