Ambulance and Fire Dept. levies pass in November 8 election

The Hardin County Board of Elections has reported the following unofficial results for the November 8, 2022 General Election for the Village of Ada and Liberty Township.

Unofficial results show that voters approved the new levy for the ambulance district and renewal of the fire department levy.

The information below lists proposed taxes and the number of votes recieved.

Teens for Christ investigation announcement

This announcement was issued by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office on November 8: 

As you are aware, we have been investigating complaints involving members and staff of a local Teens for Christ chapter for several months. As of the date of this email no state charges have been filed and it is unknown if any will be. As this investigation has proceeded, we have found that many complaints cross state lines and some of the alleged questionable conduct has occurred far outside of this agency’s jurisdiction.  

Apollo students will Invite-a-Veteran

To commemorate Veterans Day 2022, Apollo Career Center will host an event for students, Invite-a-Veteran. The special event will be held in the high school building cafeteria, 1-2:30 p.m., Friday, November 11.

Over 40 students and their invited guests will attend a special ceremony to honor those Veterans in attendance, including guests, staff and current students. Apollo graduates and fallen soldiers, Christian Neff, Shawnee, and Jon Michael Schoolcraft, Wapakoneta, will also be honored, as well as their families in attendance.

Featured speaker will be Dr. Clancy Hatleberg, Phd., MBA, JD.

Deb Curlis named Distinguished Citizen of the Year 2022

At the November 7 Town & Gown Banquet, Deb Curlis (center) received the 2022 Distinguished Citizen of the Year award. Ada Schools Parent-Teacher Conferences 2022

The Ada Exempted Village School District is having Parent-Teacher Conferences for students in grades K-12 from 

3:30-8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21 

10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022

Students will only attend school on Monday, November 21 that week. There will not be school on November 22 or 23 (for conferences) as well as on November 24 and November 25 (for Thanksgiving break).
