Jeffrey D. Conley, Sr. worked for Coverall

Jeffrey D. Conley, Sr., age 64, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at the Soin Medical Center-Kettering Health, Beavercreek, Ohio. 

He was born on March 1, 1957, in Lima, Ohio to the late Bert and Dorothy (Cramer) Conley.  

Jeffrey is survived by his two children: Jeff (Amy) Conley, Jr. of Wilmington, and Mollie (Steven Lytge) Richardson of Cape Coral, FL; four grandchildren: Keaton, Adeline, Colton, and Levi; a brother, Steve Conley of Xenia; and a sister, Sherrie (Jim) Owens of Ocala, FL. 

Jeffrey worked for Coverall as a custodian and previously worked at the Warren County Prison for fifteen years.  He was a member of the Kings of Clubs card club.  

Larry Ousley served in the U.S. Army

Larry Thurman Ousley, 72, passed away December 13, 2021 at Lima Memorial Health System.  Larry was born March 15, 1949 in Hippo, Kentucky to the late Raleigh and Trilbie (Lafferty) Ousley.  On July 24, 1976 he married Nadine Leiber Ousley.

Larry graduated from Ada High School. He worked at Buckeye Concrete, Lima, Koneta Rubber, Wapakoneta and MidBus in Bluffton. Larry was a life member of the VFW Post #9381, Ada and also the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1533, Indian Lake. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. Larry was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army.

Fourth graders worked to gather hygiene product donations as an act of generosity for their Christmas project. This year they donated 567 hygiene items, the most items ever collected at the school.

Nichole Dearth appointed to Ohio board

On December 10, Governor Mike Dewine announced appointments including:

Nichole A. Dearth of Ada (Hardin Co.) has been appointed to the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board for a term beginning December 10, 2021, and ending August 27, 2024.

Chamber electing board members, will seek new director

The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce has notified members that director Deb Curlis has decided to step down from her part-time position, but will continue to serve on the chamber board. Board member Heather Cox notes that the organization is, "extremely grateful for her continuation on the Board and her love and passion for Ada."

For 2022, the organization has six open Board Member positions with five interested Board candidates; ballots also have space for write-in candidates. Board members serve 3-year terms.

Beecher Cole was a minister

Beecher Cole, age 87, passed away at 5:09 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Marion General Hospital.

He was born on September 19, 1934, in Gage, KY to the late Shem and Mary (Caudill) Cole.

Beecher was a minister and also worked at Standard Oil.

He is survived by two sons: Richard (Rhonda) Cole of Sidney and Timothy Cole of St. Petersburg, FL; one daughter: Tina Romick of Gatlinburg, TN; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and two brothers: Ham Cole and Charles Cole.
