Meet Carrie Smith, the 6th grade social studies and science teacher at Ada Schools, who came to the district in Fall 2023.

Q. What is the one thing you cannot resist?
A. Sunsets!  I will cause a 47-car pile up to get a good pic of one!

Q. What is your greatest fear?
A. Outliving one of my kids.

Q. Where is your favorite place to be?
A. Any lake!

Q. Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
A. UP - Michigan has a secret heaven and I don't want people to know about it.

Madeline J. Lenhart worked for Triplett Corporation

Madeline J. “Maggie” Lenhart, age 103, of Ada, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the Lost Creek Care Center, Lima. 

She was born on July 6, 1920 in Mansfield, Ohio to Elza R. and Marjorie A. (McBride) Dodge who preceded her in death. On October 13, 1948 she married Eugene A. “Gene” Lenhart and he died on September 5, 1978.  

Siren going to a new home at Ada-Liberty fire station

The Federal Signal Model B Modified Duo Code siren on display at Ada's Depot Park will be transferred to the posession of the Ada-Liberty Fire Department. Purchased by the Village of Ada in 1927, it was used to alert volunteer firefighters into action and for many years was activated every day at 11:30 a.m.

Ada girls basketball buries Gophers

ADA__The Ada High School girls basketball team methodically defeated spunky Hardin County foe Ridgemont 56-36 in a non-conference contest Monday evening, January 22.

The Bulldogs authored three key runs and outscored the scrappy Gopher gals 16-7 in the final period to put the game out of reach.

The Ada Exempted Village Schools are closed on Tuesday, January 23. Remote learning day.
