Meri Skilliter, Ada school superintendent, updated the community following the first full week of classes in 2021. Here is a portion of that message from the school webisite follows:

We made it through our first regular week of classes with almost all of our staff and students in the building.

We would like to continue this model for the rest of the year. In order to give ourselves the best shot at making that wish a reality, we really need to remain vigilant and consistent on our safeguards and prevention.

We remind our students about the coronavirus safety protocols, primarily monitoring symptoms masking, social distancing and hand washing.

Ohio Northern University’s James Lehr Kennedy Engineering Building was awarded Education Design Showcase’s 2020 grand prize for its academic functionality and structural ingenuity.

“Ohio Northern University understood the importance of using the building to recruit and retain students, increase engineering laboratory space, promote the visibility of engineering on campus and encourage faculty-student collaboration,” the award committee explains.
