Hardin United Way drive off and running
The 2018 United Way of Hardin County officially announced its campaign program, at the annual kick off breakfast, Thursday in Kenton.
The honorary chairman Dr Daniel DiBiasio and Chris Burns-DiBiasio have previous experience with United Way campaigns and expressed their commitment to United Way and belief of the great services it provides. "This is a very important program, and we want to do what we can, to achieve success," said the DiBiasios.
United Way of Hardin County Agencies include American Red Cross, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boy Scouts of America, Children's Developmental Center, Community Health Professionals - Hospice, Crossroads Crisis Center, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, Hardin County Council on Aging, Hardin County Dental Council, Hardin County Family YMCA, Helping Hands Outreach, Kenton Little League, Love in the Name of Christ, Mobility Foundation, Neighborhood Opportunity Center, New Hope Ministries Homeless Shelter, ReStore Community Center, Salvation Army and Table One.
United Way President, Merleen Barnes said that through contributions, the United Way agencies program funding will help feed the hungry, provide leadership programs and scholarships, house the homeless, transport and care for our seniors, mentor and care for our youth, improve healthy and safety and many more valuable programs assisting Hardin County citizens.
Barnes appealed for any amount of donation to be helpful, "when you support the United Way you are investing in the strength and future of our communities!"
The 2018 United Way campaign is chaired by Beth Rall and Beth McKinley. The United Way board members were introduced, who will be working to raise funds through category divisions including agriculture, education, finance, government, insurance and real estate, special gifts, professional and industry.
