Provided by Karen Ward
On Saturday, July 8, Ada’s Gallery for the Arts, will host an open house complete with sweets and drinks to celebrate its 2nd birthday. The shop, opened in July of 2015, will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ruth Roider, owner of this unique gift shop and gallery for local artists, had always desired to support the local artists with a place to feature their talents.

The shop/gallery includes pottery, fabric art, folk art, colored pencil sketches, photography (in the form of framed art and greeting cards), wood craftsmanship and jewelry.  Most items are for sale.

It's the season for lemonade

A sunny summer Sunday finds Korbyn, 5, and Jazzalyn, 8, Oglesbee selling lemonade at 50 cents a cup in front of 4 Seasons Drive Thru. To add to their profits, cookies were on sale, too, reduced from $1 each to 50 cents each. It didn't take long for the entrepreneurs to raise their first $20 for the day. One tenet of business: location, location, location...and they had that. A hot day helped, as well.
