The James Lehr Kennedy Engineering Building on the Ohio Northern Campus is the newest building in Ada, Ohio 45810.

And it needs some getting used to, but upon your first visit, you will be sold. Ada Icon took a quick sneak peek of the building earlier this week. Viewers will discover lots more about the building this fall.

Construction began in spring 2018, and the first classes were held with the opening of fall semester 2019.

The building is named in honor of the great-grandson of ONU founder Henry Solomon Lehr. James Lehr Kennedy has built a successful career as an entrepreneur, inventor and artist as well as serving as a member of the ONU Board of Trustees and supporter of the university.

An open house for the public is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 5, during Homecoming weekend.

The 105,000-square-foot facility features space for collaboration, class projects and community-building, helping ONU remain on the cutting edge of educating engineers who make a difference.
