Let's take a look at Bluffton spring blooms

Last week we viewed spring in Ada

Ada Icon and Bluffton Icon are sharing spring photos this week.

Last week, Ada posted photos of our town's spring blooms. We are sharing those photos on the Bluffton Icon this week.

In return, we're sharing Bluffton's spring photos.

Please enjoy the photos of spring in Bluffton - attachment at bottom of story -

It’s mid-April. Let’s cruise Bluffton.

In our quick trip you’ll notice lots of reds, pinks and in-between shades as trees put on their spring robes. In a few weeks lots more blooming things will catch our attention.

We’ll watch for those, too.

3 ONU records set in women's track

Senior Rebecca Olashuk (Tinora), sophomore Maddy Reed (Piketon) and freshman Taylor Lavey (Findlay) each posted new school records to lead the No. 9-ranked Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field team at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday afternoon at Ohio Wesleyan University.

With the second place finish, the Polar Bears improve to 62-4 overall.

Olashuk posted a top-2 finish as she claimed second place in the hammer throw with a school-record and personal best toss of 159' 7.00".

The senior's throw currently ranks in the top-30 nationally.

In the 100-meter dash, Lavey finished third overall, setting a new school record with a time of :12.36.

They were selling like hotcakes! - Nearly 600 dinners!

The Ada Kiwanis Club served about 600 meals on Saturday at the school cafeteria during the breakfast and lunch hours. This is an annual major fundraiser for the service club, which is know for helping youth.

This photo story is for all the Icon Cincinnati Reds fans

We understand that opening day for baseball in Cincinnati is an unofficial holiday in that city.

The Icon stringer, Anne Steiner of Cincinnati, did like most people in the Queen City. She took the day off. She also and took photos of the 98th annual opening day parade.

The parade had 189 entries including lots of famous faces! Reds Hall-of-Famer Sean Casey was the parade Grand Marshal.

Cincinnati lost to Philadelphia in the season opener 4-3.

Here are some photos of the parade for Icon viewers.

Ada's canine Uber driver

Ken Collins took these two photos that proves there might be a canine Uber driver in Ada. Lilcensed, apparently.

Where will you find this fashionable gentleman wearing the Icon cap?

This fashionable gentleman, well call him Fred, is sporting an Ada Icon cap.

The challenge, dear reader, is to guess where you'll find him.

Hint: you'll see him inside a business on South Main.

Answer. Fred helps keep store with Ruth Roider at Gallery for the Arts. Ruth won the Ada Icon cap at a recent Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting. (Monty Siekerman photo)
