Sharon Guthrie had worked in several Ada businesses

Sharon R. Guthrie, 52, died Dec. 7, 2015, at Lima Memorial Health System. Sharon was born Feb. 17, 1963, in Columbus to Harold "Gus" and Norma (Shelton) Guthrie.

Sharon graduated from Cory-Rawson High School in 1981. She attended Bluffton College, graduated from Rhodes State College in Phlebotomy and also graduated from the Ohio State Beauty Academy, Lima. She was a manager at Ottawa Valley Group Home in Lima for 15 years. She also was owner/operator of Sharon's Sentiments, Ada, worked in sales at Town and County Furniture, Ada, and worked part-time at the Ada Flea Market for her father.

Donna Klingler 1932-2015

Donna June (Gossard) Klingler, 83, died at 5:23 am Monday Dec. 7, 2015, at Lima Memorial Hospital.  She was born on Feb. 20, 1932, in Hardin County to the late Merle Everett and Roxie Mildred (King) Gossard.  On March 11, 1951, she married James Howe Klingler who survives in Ada.

Donna was a member of Bethel Church of Christ.  She worked at the Lazarus/Macy’s restaurant in Lima before retiring in 2007. She had worked at the Boss Glove Factory and Triplett Corporation both in Bluffton.  Donna also worked at a nursing home and restaurant in Ada. 

David Schakett was a member of the Ohio Northern University College of Business faculty

David Schakett, 61, Professor of Entrepreneurship in the College of Business at Ohio Northern University, died unexpectedly Nov. 30, 2015. 

He was born Sept. 3, 1954 ,in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Bessie (Edelstein) and Jacob Schakett; also preceded in death by his brother, Steven Schakett, and special cousin Dr. George W. Sheppard.

Stuart was a 1972 graduate of Walnut Ridge High School and earned a Bachelor of Science and Master's Degree from Touro University, California.

Stuart was a college professor, currently serving as Professor of Entrepreneurship in the College of Business at Ohio Northern University.

James Engle 1958-2015

James E. Engle, 57, died on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, at 12:58 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.       

He was born on Feb. 8, 1958 in Lima, Ohio to Phillip E. and Barbara Ann  (Underwood) Engle. His father is deceased and his mother survives in Bluffton, Ohio. He married Tammy J. Watkins on June 15, 2002 and she survives in Gomer.       

James worked at General Dynamics for 33 years as a welder. He was a 1976 graduate of Allen East High School.  He attended the County Line Church of the Brethren of rural Ada.    

James Dearth was a 1981 Ada High School graduate

James E. Dearth, 52, died on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 4:54 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.           

He was born on June 28, 1963 in Lima, Ohio, to Ronald E. “Pud” Dearth and Barbara E. (Adams) Dearth, his father survives in Ada and his mother survives in California. He married Jennifer L. Dunbar on April 19, 2000 and she survives in Ada.           

James was a mechanic. He was a 1981 graduate of Ada High School and attended Northwestern Business College for 2 years. He was a member of the Liberty Conservation Club of Ada.            

Beatrice "Bea" Bolen was retired from Wilson Sporting Goods

Beatrice “Bea” Bolen, 88, died on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015 at 1:10 a.m. at Kenton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Kenton.         

She was born June 5, 1927, in Hardin County, Ohio, to Tom and Stella (Wright) Puckett who preceded her in death. On Aug. 20, 1946, she married Tivis Bolen who died on July 20, 1999.          

Bea retired after working 30 years for Wilson Sporting Goods, Ada . She attended the Alger Baptist Church.
