Dennis "Doc" Garbrecht was rushed to the hospital, then life-flighted to Columbus, with non life-threatening injuries following a fire at his home in Ada on Thursday morning.

He is being treated for burns and smoke inhalation. His wife, Helen "Peg" Garbrecht, was uninjured.

The two-story yellow house at 301 E. North, on the southeast corner of SR 81 and North Simon, was heavily damaged despite the efforts of four fire departments: Ada, Lafayette, Alger and McGuffey.
