"Picnic in the Park" offers free lunches for area youth

A free lunch for area grade school children started this week and continues weekdays through Aug. 17 at the War Memorial Park, shelter house 2. The program is called "Picnic in the Park."

In the first three days of the program 54 youth received a lunch. Last year the program fed up to 60 youth in one day.

This is the third year for the program, sponsored by ReStore Community Center. The program receives support from the Hardin County United Way. Food is donated from the West Ohio Food Bank, Lima. Friday meals are pizza, donated by Padrone's of Ada.
