Ada Kindergarten registration March 9-13

Ada schools Kindergarten registration for 2015-16 takes place Monday through Friday, March 9-13, according to Robin VanBuskirk, principal.

Registration is open from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. In addition, registration times are from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, March 11-12. 

"Your child will not need to attend with you during the registration," said VanBuskirk. During registration parents and caregivers will be able to set up a time for the children's kindergarten screening. That takes place May 5 and 6.

The farm relocates to Ada today and Wednesday

Farmers aren't in the field today. Instead they are on the ONU campus learning about new ag products and technologies.

Over 500 farmers, consultants, industry reps and government officials are in Ada March 3 and 4 participating in a Conservation Tillage & Technology Conference (CTC), one of the largest agricultural programs in northwestern Ohio.

Over 60 speakers are present and about 40 vendors have product displays and representatives available.

March is a busy month for students at Ada schools. Here's a list of some of the significant March events, from the school website:

First week of March
Mar. 2 FCA meeting in cafeteria 7:00- 8:45 pm
Mar. 4 Academic Boosters Meeting in Media Center 7:30 – 9:30 pm
Mar. 5 Jr High Quiz Bowl make-up County Tournament 4:30 – 7:30 pm

March 9 College Credit Plus and Credit Flex session at AHS

Ada High School will host a College Credit Plus and Credit Flex meeting at 7 p.m., Monday, March 9, in the auditorium for parents and students attending Ada High School, according to Erinn Prater, high school guidance counselor.

Students and parents are invited to attend the meeting to learn about the College Credit Plus program mandated by House Bill 487. The law allows high school students to enroll in college courses while enrolled in high school, if the student meets eligibility requirements set by the college or university.
