Here are some of the cars on display.
• Kevin Mierzejewski and daughter Angela, 1968 Chevy Impala Super Sport with only 61,000 original miles. You can find Kevin just about anywhere...on land, in the air, and on the sea. Besides having this Impala, he owns the Ada Airport, loves to fly ultralights, and has a boat, as well.

Mud volleyball was a big deal at Ada War Memorial Park on Saturday when 15 teams from throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania got down and got dirty for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo.
Over $6,000 was raised by the tournament and auction to help with awareness of Down Syndrome and to benefit 400 families in northwest Ohio that connect to the Toledo area organization.

The Ada VFW Post 9381 third annual car show Saturday brought out many people displaying their vehicles, those who wanted to see the old and exotic cars, as well as one special dog, Rollo.
Shown here are Chris Hamacre, senior vice commander of the post, with 7-year-old Great Dane Rollo, a post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) service dog who is at the post often and makes himself quite at home there.
They and Wynn Hauenstein, post quartermaster, stand beside Wynn's car. Wynn served as chairman of the car show.

Dr. Adriane Thompson-Bradshaw, ONU vice president of student services, serves as guest reader for Freedom School harambee on Friday at the ONU Chapel. Freedom School is held for six weeks during the summer in Lima for children in kindergarten through 8th grade. The group takes field trips on Fridays, so this week 60 youngsters from the Freedom School were at Ohio Northern. The school teaches children about healthy living, self esteem and provides art activities and sports for the participants. Literacy skills is also a main goal.
