Beth Wisecup 1965 - 2016

Beth Wisecup, 51, died on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at 11:50 a.m. at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.

She was born on March 28, 1965, in Hillsboro, Ohio to Hugh Edward and Marilyn (McCluer) Wisecup. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Harrod.

Beth was a member of the Harrod United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Allen East High School. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the family cat.

Also surviving is a brother, Andy (Carolyn Cross) Wisecup of Lima.

County Line Church of the Brethren's car show a big hit

All the vehicles were polished to the max Saturday at the County Line Church of the Brethren. The reason: the 10th annual car show held at the church.

Dakota Dunifon hauled in a 6 pound catfish at the Liberty Conservation Club derby on Saturday night.

Twenty students from Japan arrived in Ada this week to study English as a second language (ESL) before leaving in a month to go to various colleges throughout the U.S. Here, the students tour downtown Ada, making a stop at Reichert's Red Tag Sale on Friday morning. Bluffton Relay for Hope pie auction raises $1,877 - here's the top three recipes

Three fantastic pie recipes

This year's Bluffton Relay for Hope pie auction set a record with 28 pies sold for a total of $1,877, according to Esther Spaeth.

Kathy Miles’ cherry pie won first place, Jamey Miles (son of Kathy and James) was second with a caramel pie. Brent Warren was third with old-fashioned all American apple pie. All three are from Jenera. 

Judges were Jeff Stratton and Matthew Gillett. The auctioneer was Dave Warren.
