Ohio Northern University's Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present “Nine” from April 18 to 20 at 7:30 p.m. In addition, there will be matinee shows on Saturday, April 20, and Sunday, April 21, at 2 p.m.
Based on Federico Fellini’s film “8 1/2,” this musical delighted Broadway theatregoers in a hit revival in 2003. “Nine” is the story of a celebrated Italian film director, Guido Contini, who has lost his creative inspiration under the looming deadline for his latest film.
The Ohio Northern baseball team has added three games to its schedule this week.
The Polar Bears will now play a double header at Saint Francis (Ind.) on Wednesday at 2:30 pm and will play a single, 9-inning contest at Ohio Wesleyan on Thursday at 4 pm.
These games were scheduled to replace games lost earlier in the season due to poor weather conditions.
Northern's Ohio Athletic Conference double header at Wander Field with Capital on Tuesday at 1 pm is on as scheduled despite the cold temperatures.
ONU will wrap up its busy week with a home doubleheader with Otterbein on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Wander Field.
The Ohio Northern baseball team rallied for a 4-3 victory in the second game of a double header, after dropping Game 1 by a 3-1 score against Capital on Tuesday afternoon at Wander Field.
The Polar Bears are now 8-9 on the season and 1-3 in OAC play, while the Crusaders fall to 11-7, 2-2.
In Game 2, the Polar Bears found themselves trailing 3-0 heading into the ninth inning.
But, ONU rallied for three runs to tie the game and send it to extra innings.
Sophomore Dan Belliveau lead things off with a single to right.
Senior Kevin Obarski then hit into a fielder's choice and Belliveau was forced out at second.

The fundraiser is a GMACK Laundry Detergent program. The detergent and fabric softeners are liquid and in clear 5-gallon buckets with easy pump dispensers. Each 5-gallon bucket costs $45 and the money is due when the items are ordered.
