The Cessna Minutemen 4-H held a meeting on July 29, at Walnut Grove Church. Vice president, Ashley Breidenbach led the 4-H pledge while president, Zac Breidenbach led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was taken by Kenzie Kater by asking the members their favorite color. Minutes were also read by Kenzie Kater. The treasurer's report was read and it was announced that the members need to pay for their books and dues by the August 19th meeting.

Congratulations to Ray F. Mumma, 763 County Road 50, Ada. His correct entry was picked in a drawing of all correct entries in the summer’s Ada Icon A-B-C Summer Contest.

He wins a $25 Visa debit gift card from Liberty National Bank. All other contestants received a free small McCafe Beverage with any purchase from the Ada McDonald’s.

Bailey Bowers took the photo and developed the contest, which ran from July to early July.

The contest had 10 photos plus one bonus photo. Here are the locations of the photos. The letter in parentheses is the letter in the specific photo:

After two tiring weeks, Ada High School band camp concluded on Friday. The conclusion of camp was marked with a performance by the band and color guard.

They performed a portion of this season’s competition show in addition to some tunes that can be heard at AHS football games this fall.

Open the attachment at the bottom of this story for photos of that performance.
