As the new year offers a symbolic clean slate, many will find themselves setting New Year’s resolutions. I challenge you to set boundaries with your screen time. Setting daily limits for your personal electronic use will free up time in the day for you to focus on other tasks or spend some time practicing self-care. Excessive social media exposure can lead to unrealistic expectations, contribute to unproductive time during the day, and interrupt sleep patterns. Rather than scrolling on your phone in the evening, create a calming bedtime routine and aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night.
