Fire department request
One of the results of lots of snow is fire hydrants getting covered. Ada's fire department chief, asks residents to remove snow around hydrants in their neighborood. "It takes a few moments to clear a path in case of an emergency," he said. "We would appreciate any assistance you can give us by clearing the snow away from the hydrant. Fire doubles in size every minute, so a minute or two delay getting hooked to a hydrant can make a significant difference in the ability to knock the fire down quickly."
