Ada's "Wild Kingdom"

Peter Gros of "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" shows a legless lizard to Egypt Berghus, a freshman from Lima who was helping to videotape two Wild Kingdom shows at the Freed Center on Saturday. Gros brought along a number of animals to talk about during the performances.
He said the two-foot-long, 7-year-old lizard looks like a snake, but it's a lizard because it has ears and eyelids. He let several children hold some of the critters so that the kids will not be fearful of all animals. The Freed Center Green Room, were performers gather before curtain call, has seen the likes of Carol Channing and other famous celebs...but never a lizard...until this weekend.
