Ada's latest news

Patricia Ann Morgan, age 74, of Ada, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Vancrest of Ada. 

She was born on December 1, 1951, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Robert and Mary (Smith) Wireman.  

Patricia is survived by her four children: Renee Bailey, Robin (Greg) Hodge and James (Amy) Morgan, all of Kenton and Robert Brian; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; three brothers: Tim (De) Wireman, Jeff (Tina) Wireman and Dennis Wireman; and a sister, Cathy Albert. 

She was preceded in death by her grandson, three brothers: Gary, Doug and Chuck Wireman; and a sister, Debbie. 

On February 2 many community members reached out to the Ada Icon with information and photographs relating to the fire at Viva Maria restaurant. Thank you so very much for supporting Ada in this way. We will continue to share information on how the fire has impacted local residents and businesses. Firefighters have responded to a blaze at Viva Maria Italian Restaurant in the 100 block of South Main St. on the afternoon of Monday, February 2.

The Hardin County dispatch center received a 911 call at about 1:45 p.m. Multiple fire departments joined the Ada-Liberty Fire Department in responding to the incident.
