PANDORA__The visiting Ada High School girls basketball team rallied late but lost 57-47 to Blanchard Valley Conference rival Pandora-Gilboa on Thursday, February 5.

Three Rocket seniors combined to score all of their points. Savannah Knueven led all players with 23 points, while Kelsie Carlson netted 19 and Ava Huffman added 15. 

The Bulldog girls trailed 12-7 after the first period as Huffman scored seven points.

MEDIA RELEASE__Middlefield Bank knocked off defending champion Associated Plastics, 647-562, to capture the 8th annual Ada Rotary Super Bowl Tuesday evening at Norada Lanes. Colby Amweg, Rhiannon Amweg, Ashley Leiber and Andrew Taylor bowled for Middlefield.

Quest Federal Credit Union finished in third place and the Ada Lions were consolation champions.

Other participants were Century 21 Sunway Realty, The Inn at Ohio Northern University, Vancrest and US Bank.

The event is dedicated to the memory of late Rotarian Kevin Mierzejewski, who founded the event.

Matthew Allen Scott of Lima, formerly of Harrod, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 4, 2026. He was born on December 11, 1972, in Lima, Ohio, to Steven and Ruth Scott, who preceded him in death.
