Village of Ada prepares to host National Night Out events

By Paula Pyzik Scott

The Village of Ada Council held a regular meeting on Tuesday, November 18, with Council President Bob Simmons presiding. Mayor David Retterer was present at the meeting. The meeting packet is HERE.

RESOLUTIONS
Council established a new fund for National Night Out, allowing the Ada Police Department to receive donations and establish an Ada National Night Out event. Such events are held in many communities across the United States on the second Tuesday of August to allow first responders to connect with the communities they serve on a non-emergency basis.

ORDINANCE
Council approved the second reading of an ordinance establishing annual appropriations for 2026.

Downtown Ada businesses are all dressed up in their seasonal finery for the November 20 Third Thursday event promoted by the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce. Participating businesses will have additional hours from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The Chamber invites you to "shop, stroll and give thanks!"
