It looked like a three ring circus, but all was well organized for the ONU Career Fair in the Sports Center on Friday. More than 100 organizations had reps on hand to talk with seniors about jobs and grad school.  This photo shows only a small portion of the facility during the fair. Each organization had a table with a banner announcing their group so seniors could walk around and chat with those who might make a big difference in their future. One-on-one interviews were held later in the day.

"Kinnegoe Bay Cross" part of Deland Sculpture Walk

Judith Greavu, art emerita at Ohio Northern University, recently had her work “Kinnegoe Bay Cross” installed in Deland, Florida.

Greavu also has installed “Arts Spirit” at The Deland Sculpture Walk near the Museum of Florida Art in Deland, Florida. This towering outdoor work evoked a dancing spectacle that suggested influences of Henry Moore and Louise Bourgeois.

Greavu’s works have been shown in numerous venues around the country. She has presented from Michigan to Florida and throughout Ohio, including Polk Museum Outdoor Sculpture Competition, The Sculpture Center in Cleveland, Ohio, the Everglades National Park, and the Midwest Sculpture Initiative.

For students seeking internships, co-ops, grad school and employment

Representatives from than 100 organizations were on hand Friday to talk with ONU students about their plans after college.

The fair was designed for students seeking both full and part-time employment as well as co-ops, internships, and admission to graduate and professional schools.

Marathon, of nearby Findlay, has been a recruiter of ONU graduates for many years as well as a provider of internships and co-ops. The company has been generous in its donations to ONU, as well.
