The Ohio Northern volleyball team fell four spots to No. 21 in the sixth weekly American Volleyball Coaches Association poll.

The Polar Bears is 17-4 overall and 2-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

Ohio Northern went 1-1 last week with a sweep at Capital and a hard-fought 3-2 loss to Otterbein.

The Ohio Northern women's soccer team jumped two spots to No. 15 in the United Soccer Coaches poll, and moved into the top-25 at No. 19 in the D3Soccer.com poll, both released Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Northern (10-1-1 overall) jumped two spots in the United Soccer Coaches poll after posting a 2-0-0 record last week.

In the D3Soccer.com poll, jumped to No. 19 after receiving votes the last two weeks.

KENTON — Ada sophomore Abbie James took second to pace the Lady Bulldog cross country team at the Hardin County Invitational meet Monday in Kenton.

James finished the 3.1-mile course at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in a time of 21:31.15, behind only meet winner Julie Collier of Riverdale.

The Lady Falcons won the girls meet with 42 points, followed closely by Kenton (44), Hardin Northern (58) and Ada (72).

Kenton won the boys team title over Hardin Northern, 44-53. The Ada boys took third with 56 points, followed by USV (65).

FINDLAY - The Ada girls soccer team was seeded 12th at the 13-team drawing for the Div. III Findlay district held Sunday.

 

Ada (5-9) will play at sixth-seeded Ashland Crestview Saturday, October 14 at 5 p.m.

 

The victor will visit second-seeded Liberty-Benton Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.

 

Riverdale was seeded first overall in the district draw.

TIFFIN - The Ada boys soccer team was seeded sixth out of 12 teams at the Div. III Tiffin district drawing held Sunday.

 

The Bulldogs (10-4) will host ninth seed Willard on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 5 p.m.

 

The Ada/Willard winner will advance to the second round Saturday, Oct. 21 at second-seeded Mansfield Christian.

 

The district semifinals will be held Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at Tiffin Columbian. The district finals are Oct. 28 at Columbian.

 

Van Buren was voted the top seed.

OTTAWA - The Ada volleyball team was seeded third at the 13-team Div. IV Ottawa district drawing held Sunday.

 

The Lady Bulldogs (13-7) will host 12th-seeded Temple Christian Monday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m. in a sectional first round match.

 

The winner will advance to face the winner between sixth seed McComb and ninth seed Pandora-Gilboa Thursday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m.

 

If Ada defeats Temple Christian, they will host the McComb/P-G survivor Oct. 19.

 

The second round victor will advance to the Ottawa district semifinals, where they will likely face top-seeded Leipsic on Oct. 24 at Ottawa-Glandorf.
