On Tuesday, July 26, Ada Cub Scout Pack 124 drew a dozen or so youngsters to a meeting introducing them to scouting. The kid-magnet was the Raingutter Regatta, a friendly competition to see who could sail a tiny catamaran down a length of raingutter with lung power alone.

Prospective scouts and younger siblings tested their lungs and aim, often finding the task harder than it might sound. Many brought boats with custom paint work. The kids cheered each other on and suggested tips on technique when sails went sideways.
