I am writing as an individual, and not as a representative of an organization or institution in Ada.
I am concerned about the recent decision by our school board to allow parents to choose whether or not to have their child wear a mask while at school during the last four days of the school year.
This decision goes against CDC advice, and against the recommendations of the Ohio Department of Health. Governor Dewine wrote a letter to all school districts last week reminding them that the mask mandate in Ohio does not end until June 2nd, and that schools should remain masked through the end of the school year.
A grand reopening of Vicki’s Music Studio and Noteworthy Community Choir is set for 5 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 4, at the studio, 2613 State Route 81, Ada, according to Vicki Mills, studio owner.
“We invite all interested persons to visit our studio, meet our instructors and register for all summer classes and camps,” said Mills.
“You may sign up for private piano or voice lessons,” she said. “And, don’t forget to enter our drawings for tuition discounts plus a grand prize of a full summer tuition remission.”

It turns out that Ohio's colleges, universities and sports teams took notice.
DeWine received ties from at least 54 colleges and universities, eight athletic teams and four other organizations, according to his 2020 financial disclosure statement recently filed with the Ohio Ethics Commission.
