ADA – The Ada High School boys track and field team won a four-team meet Tuesday, April 22 on a sunny evening at War Memorial Stadium.

The Bulldog boys nosed out Botkins 88.5 points to 84. Allen East was third with 50 points, followed by Delphos Jefferson with 33.5.

Botkins won the girls team title with 95.5 points. The Lady Bulldogs were second with 69 points, followed by AE (47) and Jefferson (29.5).

Bulldog senior Logan Jolliff and junior Kayleb Hickman each won two events to pace the victors.

ONU’s Donald J. Bettinger Department of Chemistry/Biochemistry recently became a Green Chemistry Commitment Signing Institution, a designation awarded by Beyond Benign, a chemistry education organization.

Two weeks ago, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) implemented a significant number of job cuts that will impact our response to sexual assault here locally.

The Program Branch of the CDC Division of Violence Prevention (DVP) was eliminated. This section, which is part of the Injury Center, is responsible for administering the Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) program that has provided Crime Victim Services with vital funding to carry out prevention programming since 2013.

Apollo Career Center Adult Education is excited to announce the launch of our newly approved Apollo School of Cosmetology. The 15-month evening program will run Monday through Thursday from 3:30-10:00 pm, and will equip students with extensive training in cosmetology, setting them up to successfully become a licensed cosmetologist.

ELIDA – The Ada High School boys tennis team lost 5-0 at Elida in a battle of Bulldogs Monday, April 21.

Ada is now 2-2 this season. 

Bulldog senior southpaw Nathan Williams lost to Ben Osmon 6-1, 6-0 in his first singles match.

Jaden Neuman defeated Bulldog junior Justin Bowden 6-0, 6-0 at second singles.   

Eben Jackson swept Ada sophomore Brandon Prater 6-0, 6-0 at third singles.

Staley and Altenbach beat Ada duo Luke Archer and Lawson Klingler 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles. 

The Ada tandem of Mohamad Khalil and Sam Crawford lost to Layman and Dunahay at second doubles 6-0, 6-0.
