ADA – Five members of the Ada High School girls soccer team earned well-deserved All-North Central Ohio Soccer Association honors in voting recently conducted by the league coaches.
The youthful Bulldogs are 10-6 and set a program record for regular season wins this fall.
“It speaks highly of these girls’ accomplishments,” said Ada head coach Doug Dewese of the five honorees. “We struggled in NCOSA, but these ladies still impressed the (league) coaches.”
Skilled junior defender Alex Gibson was voted first team all-league.
The following 6 land transfers took place in the Ada Exempted Village School District in September 2024 as reported on the website of the Hardin County, Ohio auditor Michael T. Bacon and Hancock County, Ohio auditor Charity Rauschenberg.
The Ada Kiwanis are hosting a Halloween Parade at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Octber 28. To participate, please register at 5:15 p.m. behind the Ada Municipal Building on Buckeye Ave. Costumes will be judged by the seven categories listed above.
ADA __ The Ada High School boys soccer team was rewarded for its strong regular season by being seeded second at the nine-team Tiffin Div. V sectional drawing Sunday.
Ada (11-4) will host eighth-seeded backyard rival Allen East (1-11-1) in the first round of the sectionals Saturday afternoon, October 19.
“We are excited to host the sectional rounds,” said Ada first-year head coach Aaron Acheson. “Allen East is a good opponent for us to play. We have a lot of respect for them.
“The team is having fun, and they are looking forward to the tournament,” he added.

McGUFFEY - The visiting Ada High School volleyball team concluded its regular season on a high note by beating traditional arch-rival Upper Scioto Valley in four sets Tuesday night, October 8, at Alumni Fieldhouse.
Ada won the final two sets to pull away and defeat the Rams 25-18, 21-25, 25-11, 25-14.
With the non-league road victory, the Bulldog spikers improved to 11-11. Struggling USV fell to 2-14 after the loss.
Ada sophomore Dailah Preston came up big by smacking 12 kills and making two blocks.
Junior Anna Conley knocked down nine kills, made 11 digs and compiled three blocks.
