Memorial Day services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, 5134 SR 235, on Monday, May 25 at 1:00  p.m. This event is cosponsored by Ream McElroy Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9381 and Foss-Agin-Meyer American Legion Post 185. Following this event, there will be a short service at Preston Cemetery, 3131 Co Rd 90, Alger.

ST. HENRY__The visiting Ada High School baseball team lost to top-seeded powerhouse St. Henry 21-0 in their Div. VI Northwest 1 sectional final game on Saturday evening, May 23.

Ranked second in the state, the hard-hitting Redskins built a 5-0 lead after two innings. They then put the game out of reach with an eight-run third.

SH plated eight more runs in the bottom of the fourth frame to invoke the mercy run rule after a scoreless top of the fifth.

The Redskins out-hit the Bulldogs 16-3 and took advantage of six Ada errors to score 12 unearned runs. SH smacked seven doubles and two home runs.

SHELBY__The Ada High School softball team led Colonel Crawford 11-8 in a seesaw Div. VI Northwest district semifinal showdown on Friday, May 22, when play was stopped by rain.

The game was postponed in the bottom of the sixth inning with Ada ahead 11-8. But the Eagles had the bases loaded with nobody out when play was paused.

UPDATE The game is rescheduled for Monday (5/25) at 11:00 a.m.

Ada fell behind 3-0 after one inning. But the Bulldogs rallied with eight runs in the second inning behind home runs from Reese Jordan and Tea Griffith.

UPDATE The (5/23) Sectional Varsity Baseball at St Henry has been pushed back to start at 4:00  p.m. .

ADA__The Ada High School baseball team lost to visiting Blanchard Valley Conference rival Riverdale 5-0 in the oft-delayed conclusion of their suspended game on Friday, May 22.

The Bulldogs trailed 3-0 when the game was stopped by rain on Monday, April 27 in the second inning. The game was postponed again this past Wednesday due to rain.

MEDIA RELEASE__Ada High School will honor its graduates of the Class of 2026 on Sunday, May 24, at 2:00  p.m. in the high school gymnasium.  At the Senior Honor Awards ceremony on Monday, May 18, it was announced that Lily Howard and Emma Lambdin have earned the honor of Valedictorians while Slade Gossman has earned the honor of Salutatorian. These students are among the speakers at commencement.
