FIND EVENTS on the Ada community calendar

On day two of an Ohio EPA Air Quality Advisory due to smoke from Canadian wildfires, Ada had an air quality rating of hazardous (343 ppm) at 6:00 a.m., according to AirNow.gov.

The report is based on a Lima monitoring station. 

It is recommended that everyone stay indoors and reduce activity levels.

FROM FACEBOOK__The Ada Municipal Pool will be open an extra two weeks with an adjusted schedule from August 9-22. Hours of operation during these weeks will be 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. with lap swim and toddler swim from 10-11:00 a.m. Admission will still be $5/person and pool passes will be accepted.

I would like to take an opportunity to voice my opinion on an issue that impacts the Village I have called home for the last 21 years (I am 21 years old). In January of this year, I was sworn in as an Ada Village Councilor. I looked forward to representing my community and surrounding myself with people who want the best for their community.

Norma Mathews Wilhelm, formerly of Ada, died on July 14, 2026, in Dublin, Ohio. She was born on May 15, 1931, in Springfield, Illinois, to Esther Fenton Mathews and Harry Herschel Mathews. She grew up in Greenview, Illinois with her sister, Pearl, and brother, John. They all were beloved by her and preceded her in death. In 1951, she married Dale Leroy Wilhelm, and they loved and supported each other for 65 years.
