John C. Dobnicker, age 81, of Ada, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Vancrest of Ada. 

He was born on January 7, 1944, in Waukegan, Illinois, to John Fred and Ethel Josephine (Rundell) Dobnicker. John was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Allan Dobnicker. 

John is survived by his sister, Dorothy Dobnicker of Ada.  

John retired from the trucking industry, where he worked in sales. 

Graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada, with Pastor Jack Duffy officiating.   

UPDATED on November 6 with six additional sixth graders: Aubree Keckler, Bennett Keckler, Annabel Onyekelu, Paizlie Vieira, Mia Maitavuki and Ashlin Ritchie, as well as fourth grader Klayton Godfrey.

The following Honor Roll has been announced by the Ada Exempted Village School District for grades 4-12 for the 1st quarter of the 2025-2026 school year.
