Alger Public Libary announces that its preschool Story Times are held on Mondays at 5 p.m., according to Stacey Hensley, library director. 

"Children from ages 3 to 6 (with a favorite adult) have fun with engaging books, songs and activities as they build their early literacy skills," she said.

Turns out that the sun never sets on Ada Icon.

In 2019, Ada Icon was viewed from persons in 57 countries around the globe.

Super stars from the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakes recently graced the Icon as the feature photo of the day. This series concludes with this Pittsburgh Steelers heavy-weight. New businesses opened; some ownership changed; some retirements announced

Ada experienced several business changes in 2019. Here is a list of many of those stories covered in the Icon. Among the major influencers in several of these stories is Ada Area Chamber of Commerce, which includes nearly 100 members, its greatest-ever membership total.

Brian and Kelly Clum purchased 3 Brothers Pizza from Rod and Linda Dysert in January. By coincidence, the Dyserts have three sons, hence the name, and the Clums have three sons, so there is very little change in the business name. The phone number remains 419-634-0100.

Reichert's Clothing Store was the Ada School "Bulldog Business of the Month for January. 

The Ohio Northern University HealthWise Pharmacy will host an information session at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, at Primrose Retirement Community, 3500 W. Elm St., Lima. The session is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be provided.

The session will allow individuals to learn about the wellness services offered by ONU HealthWise Pharmacy, which provides an array of high-quality health screenings and other services, such as customized pharmacy delivery, as well as medical equipment and supplies.
