Guy S. Brashear, 83, died on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, at 11 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.

He was born on March 9, 1936, in Pulaski County, Missouri, to the late Fred L. and Blanch R. (Hammock) Brashear. Guy married Wilma Salyer.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma, and his daughter, Beverly Brashear.

He retired from the Campbell Soup Company where he worked for over 35 years.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Korean War from 1954 to 1957. 

Guy is survived by his step-son, Roger (Carolyn) Dockery of Defiance; and two sisters: Chloe Cole of Ada and June (Henry) Pelton of Swanton.  

Delmar J. Moore, 66, died on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, at 11:04 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.

He was born on Feb. 18, 1953, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky,  to the late Sammie and Maudie (Chaffin) Moore. On April 14, 1982 Delmar married Corrine Moore and she survives in Kenton.

Delmar worked as a welder for Union Tank of Marion, he previously worked in the coal mines in Kentucky.  He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church of Lima.    

Terry L. Fuqua, 59, died on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, at 5:30 a.m. at the Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on Sept. 9, 1960, in Phoenix, Arizona, to the late Raymond M. and Ruth (Stephenson) Fuqua.  

Terry worked for the Coca-Cola Company. 

 He is survived by a son, Joshua Fuqua of Kenton; a daughter, Deborah Fuqua of Ada; two grandchildren; two brothers: Raymond (Marsha) Fuqua of Ada and Doug Fuqua of Toledo; and four sisters: Sharon Wells of Delphos, Tony Sinift of Toledo, Kathy (Rick) of Hillard Viccaro and Tammy Frazier of Cairo.

Terry was preceded in death by a brother, Carlos Fuqua.

Reece Evans posted top Bulldog finish coming in second in 160 lbs. class

PARKWAY - The Ada wrestling squad finished sixth at the 10-team Parkway Invitational Saturday.

Celina won the event with 384 points, finishing well ahead of second-place Spencerville (294). Ada scored 94 points.

Bulldog senior Reece Evans posted the top Bulldog finish by coming in second in the 160 lbs. class. He went 3-2 in the competition, losing in the title match of his weight bracket to Troy Smith of Delphos St. John's, 8-4.

Chase Martin of Delphos St. John's was named tournament MVP after winning all four of his matches at 170 lbs.
