The American Red Cross North Central Ohio Chapter responded to a fire on Chestnut St. in Forest on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
The Red Cross provided assistance for the immediate needs of two adults and one child affected, such as temporary lodging, food and clothing as well as comfort kits of personal hygiene items.
“We’re deeply saddened for those who were impacted by this fire,” said Todd James, Executive Director, North Central Ohio Chapter.
“As we continue to help them, we urge everyone to take steps to minimize the risk of a fire occurring in their home.”
Sandra S. McKinley, 71, died on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, at 4:08 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born in Alger, Ohio, on Jan. 17, 1948, to the late William W. and Mary C. (Orders) Scott, Sr. Sandi was previously married to John McKinley and he preceded her in death.
The Ada High School band and choir concert scheduled for tonight (Tuesday, Dec. 17) is still on and will still begin at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.
The Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs (BCE) is holding the next Ropp Triplett Business Plan Competition in January-March 2020.
Offering a 7-session business plan course taught by Kathy Keller, CBA, the competition has two categories, emerging businesses and improving 45817 businesses, and awards a total of $7,500 in prizes.
The prize that everyone walks away with? “A solid plan that includes financial forecasting, market research, risk management, and marketing,” says BCE Executive Director Paula Scott; “It requires you to spend time and meet deadlines on issues that you might be leaving on the back burner.”
