Ada school moved from a 2-hour to a 3-hour delay this morning, Monday, Dec. 16. Watch the Icon for any further developments.

Midwest Rehab, 118 E. Highland Ave., Ada, will have a visit from Santa later this month, according to Joni Goodman.

The event includes storytime and cookies with Santa on Wednesday, Dec. 18. You are invited to visit Santa from 4 to 5 p.m. and enjoy a storytime with him from 5 to 6 p.m.

He'll bring the cookies.

Ada Church of Christ Disciples hosts Heartsong, a southern gospel group, on Sunday, Dec. 22, at 10:30 a.m., at the church, 316 S. Main St.

Capital stops ONU men

The Ohio Northern women's basketball team dropped its first game of the season Saturday. The Polar Bears lost at Capital 53-38, falling to 6-1 on the season and 2-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play. The Crusaders improved to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play. 

Senior Emily Mescher (Maria Stein/Marion Local) boasted a career-high 21 points on 9-for-13 shooting to pace Northern. Her previous career high was 18 points. Junior teammate Emily Brock (Akron/Revere) and freshman Brynn Serbin (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) chipped in six points apiece.
