Charles F. Wolf, age 80, of Ada, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his family.
He was born on December 7, 1944 in Wauseon, Ohio to Frederick E. and Rachael (Walter) Wolf Sr. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick, mother, Rachael and stepfather, Randall Matthews. On August 7, 1971 Charles married Ann Wheeler and she survives in Ada.
The Tuesday, August 20 meeting of the Village of Ada Council included two extended discussions: one indicates that meetings with residents of N. Gilbert St. have resulted in an agreement on a 25-foot no-parking area opposite the EMS garage; the other resulted from comments by resident Kevin Wagner on his efforts to change a Village water billing ordinance and a zoning ordinance regarding establishments serving alcohol near churches and schools.
Joel R. Klingler, 49, of Ada, Ohio, passed away on August 12, 2025, at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. He was born on March 11, 1976, in Lima, Ohio, to Ronald D. Klingler and Brenda Brown Stevenson.
Joel graduated from Ada High School with the Class of 1995. Following graduation, he became a truck driver and proudly drove for several companies throughout his career. In 2008, he married Amanda Roeder, and together they shared 25 wonderful years of love and commitment.
NEW KNOXVILLE __The visiting Ada High School boys soccer team defeated non-league foe New Knoxville 3-1 on Monday, August 18.
The Bulldogs improved to 2-0 with the victory. NK fell to 0-2 after the defeat.
“The boys put in a gritty performance and earned a well-deserved win at New Knoxville,” said Ada second-year head coach Aaron Acheson. “We controlled the game in the midfield, with our holding midfielders setting the tone and linking play effectively.
“The back four were outstanding,” he continued. “They were solid, vocal and quick to recover while covering for each other throughout the match.
