Meet Brownie. She is a 2 year old terrier mix. She weighs 21 pounds. Brownie is a good dog and she's waiting for her forever home.

To give a dog a forever home, contact the Hardin County dog shelter. It is located at 49 Jones Road on the west side of Kenton.

We have new hours of operation:
Monday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. 
Tuesday and Thursday - closed 
Wedneday 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.
Friday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Generally, about 20 to 25 dogs are available for viewing.

2018 Red Cross Learn To Swim Program is completed for this summer.  75 students participated in the nine days of lessons!  We had great weather again this year, although a cooler second week.  I would like to thank the Village of Ada for the facility to hold the lessons.  The pool staff had the facility open and ready for the volunteers and swimmers each morning.  The water was wonderful, the pool area was always clean and ready for our use and the lifeguards were very attentive to the swimmers.       

The Ohio Northern men's track and field program and senior jumps specialist Alex Sibila (Zionsville, Ind.) were recognized Thursday, July 26 by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) with the release of their annual All-Academic honors list.

The men's program received All-Academic Team honors from the USTFCCCA for the 2018 season, joining a list of 291 NCAA Division III teams recognized for their academic achievements. The listing would include 106 men's track and field squads while 185 women's programs garnered the accolade.

The Ohio Northern women's track and field program received high praise for their successes in the classroom during the 2018 seasons from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) with the release of their annual All-Academic honors list on Thursday, July 26.
