September 1929 the name of Irwin Avenue extending to the new high school building was changed to Turner Avenue.
September 1929 “Easing up” was noted in rules concerning dancing at Ohio Northern University. Although no dances were allowed under school organization names, students were not prohibited from attending dances outside the school.

Farmers have been busy planting the past three weeks with a few moderate rains to break things up. This year planting was delayed by a couple weeks due to cool and wet conditions. Because of that, the activities such as spraying fields with herbicides, applying fertilizer and tillage activities were not completely done by the usual date of the beginning of May.

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the region's top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, Great Lakes, Mideast, Midwest, New England, South/Southeast, West – match those used during the cross country and indoor track & field season.
The Ada High School baccalaureate service will take place at 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 23. This is a change from the original time of 7 p.m. in order for the girls' softball team to have time to return to Ada after their softball tournament game.
The Ada High School softball team will play Tinora in the regional semi final at 5 p.m. Wednesday May 23, at the Marathon Diamonds, Findlay. All tickets are $7 with no presale, according to Ken Jochims, Ada HS athletic director.
