ADA - The host Ada baseball squad was shut out by Fostoria 6-0 in Div. III sectional first round play on a warm and windy Wednesday evening at the park diamond.
The 12th-seeded Ada boys finished the season 5-15 after the tournament defeat. Thirteenth seed Fostoria improved to 3-18 with the minor upset win.
Hard-throwing Redman right-hander Alex Sierra struck out 13, walked three and tossed a one-hit shutout to earn the win.
Ada sophomore Phllip Coulson hurled a complete game but got no run support. The Bulldogs were out-hit, 9-1. Coulson struck out eight, walked one and gave up five earned runs.
FROM ADA BULLDOG FACEBBOOK - The popular Ada High School Spring Fever Follies takes place at 7 p.m., Friday, May 11, in the school auditorium.
This year’s Follies titled "Oh the Places You’ll Go" features songs about travel and the world. Musical styles range from pop and rock to musical theatre with students performing solos, duets and large ensemble numbers.
Eleven graduating choir members will be recognized during the program.
Over 45 Ada Junior Varsity Singers including student in grades 1-8 will be a part of this year's program.

A school-record nine Ohio Northern players were named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in men's lacrosse for 2018 in voting conducted by the league's nine head coaches.
Juniors Andrew Fox (Solon) and Mitch Groves (Fishers, Ind./Chatard) were named First Team All-OAC.
Juniors Anthony Pavone (Chagrin Falls/Kenston), Jackson Pfister (Upper Arlington) and Alex Pizarro (Boonsboro, Md.) and sophomores Logan Krogman (Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley), Cameron Marous (Brecksville) and Shane Olsen (White Bear Lake, Minn.) were all named Second team All-Conference.
