AUG 11 MEDIA RELEASE__Rainfall totals across Hardin County varied like in June 2025. However, crops look good given the large amounts of rain at times and the stretches of heat.
Crops have also fared well so far this season with little disease and insect pressure. Growers who are weighing whether they should make any pesticide applications, should check out the Return on Investment calculators at https://cropprotectionnetwork.org/roi-calculators. The tools are designed to help growers evaluate if they could see an economic benefit from making an application.

The Ada Farmers & Merchants Parade is a longstanding tradition. Century21 Sunway Realty volunteered to organize the parade starting in 2019, according to Realtor Becky Neville: “We did not have a parade in 2020. Every year it has grown. Ada really supports the parade.”
Overall, there were more than 60 units. Parade organizers start contacting participants in the spring and work on getting sign ups through the summer.
