A Hardin County food distribution event takes place from noon to 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Dial-Roberson Stadium on the ONU campus, according to Jason Aldrich.
Enter on Klingler Road. To received food persons must be 18 or older, have a valid photo ID and proof of residency, be at or below 230 percent of the federal poverty guidelines and sign and eligibility to take food home form.
In July, the Ada visit resulted in the distribution of 35,900 pounds of food passed to 133 families.
Aldrich asks that participants have their trucks or truck bed cleaned out as volunteers will not move items to load food into vehicles.
Review by Robert McCool
Welcome to the White City - Chicago in 1890-1893.
It's been a while since I've written a review, as my wife had an emergency back surgery and an extended stay in the hospital that has kept me busy doing other things than writing.
But even as immediate as my time has been recently this book has been on my mind quite a bit. Once again, it comes recommended by a member of the Ada book club, and is justified as a good read.
Wendy Daugherty is the winner of the "write a caption contest." Her entry for this photo taken from a 1970-era Ada High School year book follows: "Still 2 players short to field a team."
She wins a 2-item, 16-inch 3 Brothers Family Pizza. Watch the Icon for the next pizza contest.

The question is: "Why do healthy kids need to wear masks?”
In the accompanying video, Dr. Anna Kauffman, MD, a physician in Family Medicine and practices in Bluffton, responds.
She received her MD from Yale University School of Medicine and completed a residency in family medicine at the VCU Shenandoah Valley Family Practice Residency Program.
